The core design concept of Nha Gia Nghia revolves around creating a simple living space deeply connected with nature, while respecting and inheriting indigenous architectural elements. The choice of a stilt house structure not only suits the sloping terrain but also provides natural ventilation and insulation. Notably, the image of the wide roof, reminiscent of the Ê Đê longhouse, embodies cultural integration and creates a unique architectural feature that is both symbolic and functionally effective for shelter. The folds of the roof are also carefully calculated to optimize views and sun shading,

The design concept seamlessly blends the traditional stilt house structure with a desire to expand and connect with the majestic nature of the Central Highlands. The wide roof, inspired by the Ê Đê longhouse, not only provides shelter but also frames valuable views towards the valley.

This simple stilt house in the M'nông Highlands fully embraces the valley views with a wide roof inspired by the Ê Đê longhouse and local materials, offering a young family a peaceful retreat amidst majestic nature

The prime location on a hillside in the M'nông Highlands, bordering the forest with panoramic valley views, not only dictates the house's orientation but also evokes a sense of living in harmony with nature and local culture. The stilt house architecture and inspiration from the Ê Đê longhouse are profound reflections of the regional cultural context.
The living space is organized horizontally on the upper level, with a clear separation between the common living area facing the valley and private spaces. The unexpectedly extended veranda creates a strong emotional connection point with nature.

The use of local materials is a crucial aspect of Nha Gia Nghia’s design, contributing to its harmony with the natural and cultural context. Construction stone, coffee tree wood, and reclaimed wood are not only readily available but also bring a rustic and authentic beauty to the house. The double-layered door system (timber slats and glass) demonstrates a smart adaptation to the highland climate, allowing flexible adjustment of light and wind entering the house. The openings and roof folds are also calculated to optimize the intake of natural light, especially indirect light, creating a bright but not harsh living space.

Local materials such as stone, coffee wood, and reclaimed wood not only create a warm, simple aesthetic but also carry a strong local imprint. The double-layered door system and carefully calculated openings help regulate natural light and ensure effective ventilation.
